Tree Planting with Blue Water Baltimore
A little care goes a long way in the life of a tree! Join Blue Water Baltimore’s Restoration Team to help us care for existing trees in the Ash Co East/Coppin Heights Neighborhoods. Tasks will include removing old stakes and ties, removing old green wells (watering aids), doing some light pruning and picking up litter. Kids to Farmers’ Market (KTFM) is an interactive event that teaches children about healthy foods and healthy eating. Kids to Farmers’ Market program aims to teach children about nutrition and how to make healthy choices through hands-on learning. Community partner, SoWhatElse, has joined forces with UMB's Community Engagement Center (CEC) to bring vaccinations and food distribution to families in West Baltimore. Volunteers are needed to direct neighbors to predetermined stations, share provided information/resources and support neighbors receiving resources. This community event is perfect for UMB students with a career focus in the health and human services.
