Typically\, the work will take place in the Art with Heart office during the week and will consist of a wide variety of activities. These activities include preparing materials for Art with a Heart’s ongoing classes\, working on a public art/community project\, and/or helping create and finish pieces of art for HeARTwares\, the organization’s social enterprise/retail store. Baltimore Hunger Project (BHP) mission is to remove barriers to learning by providing food and resources to children facing food insecurity in our community. Each week\, food is ordered and purchased primarily from the Maryland Food Bank and delivered to our warehouse. Teams of volunteers unload the pallets and count the food items\, preparing them for packing.
