Higher Achievement Seeking Math Tutors and Mentors!
Higher Achievement’s model delivers educational support grounded in social justice principles. Our afterschool program for 5th-8th grade scholars combines academic enrichment with social-emotional skill building, culminating in placement in college preparatory high schools. Higher Achievement is seeking tutors specialized in math academic enrichment and homework support. Higher Achievement’s academic enrichment activities sharpen scholars’ math skills, get extra support in challenging concepts, and provide a safe space to grow and learn. Join us to support the expansion of Midtown’s tree canopy. Bolton Hill Community Association and Midtown Community Benefits District are co-hosting a volunteer tree planting event from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 28th. There will be trained tree keepers on staff to provide directions and tools provided for planting. We’ll split volunteering into teams, and complete plantings throughout the neighborhood. UMB partners with the P-TECH School at Dunbar to support high school students who are simultaneously pursuing both an associate degree and High School Diploma and who are interested in health professions.
