Higher Achievement Seeking Math Tutors and Mentors!
Higher Achievement’s model delivers educational support grounded in social justice principles. Our afterschool program for 5th-8th grade scholars combines academic enrichment with social-emotional skill building, culminating in placement in college preparatory high schools. Higher Achievement is seeking tutors specialized in math academic enrichment and homework support. Higher Achievement’s academic enrichment activities sharpen scholars’ math skills, get extra support in challenging concepts, and provide a safe space to grow and learn. You can become a tutor and work with a student each week for 30 minutes. Volunteers read a story with their assigned student, ask questions to see how well their student understands the story, and plays word games as well as activities. All reading and activities are designed to be appropriate for the student’s reading level.

Kids to Farmers Market Series-UMB Campus Visit
Kids to Farmers’ Market (KTFM) is an interactive event that teaches children about healthy foods and healthy eating. Kids to Farmers’ Market program aims to teach children about nutrition and how to make healthy choices through hands-on learning. Join us and volunteer on Tuesdays in October at UMMC Plaza's Farmers Market as local elementary children participate in this healthy eating programming.
