Volunteers wanted for “Lori’s Hands”

September 15 @ 8:00 am - December 31 @ 5:00 pm

Free

Lori’s Hands is an intergenerational service learning experience. Students make weekly visits to community members with chronic diseases to assist with daily activities and, in turn, learn about the real life experience of chronic illness.

Volunteers grocery shop, do yard work, light cleaning and organizing; they even come just for a friendly visit. Volunteers typically serve one time per week for a 1 – 2 hour visit. Lori’s Hands offers internships and field placements each semester (including winter & summer) for students who want additional experience and hours.

College students in good standing at a partnering institution who demonstrate genuine interest in health care and service are eligible to volunteer with Lori’s Hands.
