Mentor Middle Schoolers in Baltimore
Mentors work with a small group of scholars as they define and pursue their personal and educational goals, gain awareness of high school, college, and career options, and take steps to access those options through writing, reading, and critical thinking activities. Activities and support are provided; no experience is required! Mentoring takes place in person and COVID-19 vaccination is required. The festival will be located in Historic Pigtown, beginning on the 700 block of Washington Blvd. There are several roles for volunteers to fill, including: - Vendor check in - Set up - Greeters - Break relief - Clean up & Break down There are a number of 2 - 4 hours shifts available, ranging from 8:00am - 10:00pm. Volunteers needed for a Neighborhood Cleanup
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, October 11th for a neighborhood cleanup. The cleanup time will be 8:00am - 12:00pm; and volunteers will meet at the corner of Asburton and Clifton. There will be a large dumpster for volunteers to use.

A Bridge to Academic Excellence (ABAE) is a student organization at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy whose mission is to provide tutoring services for high school students in the Baltimore area. Student volunteers from the Schools of Pharmacy, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Graduate Studies at University of Maryland, Baltimore serve as ABAE tutors for grades 9-12.
