Cash Campaign Volunteer Greeter
The Cash Campaign at the UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) is looking for volunteer greeters. The CASH Campaign of Maryland promotes economic advancement for low-to moderate income individuals and families in Baltimore and across the state. They will again offer free tax preparation services at the Community Engagement Center, so working families can avoid costly tax prep fees and maximize their refund. Join the St. Gabriel AID Food Pantry in unloading food donations, packing boxes for distribution, dividing large stable bags/containers into smaller containers, taking phone requests (bilingual Spanish/English), grant writing, and fundraising. This volunteer activity requires an orientation prior to beginning work which covers COVID-19 Health and Safety procedures, food handling, and Child and Vulnerable Population procedures. Volunteers are needed at the UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) to help conduct the 2022 Point-In-Time Count of people experiencing homelessness. Join the Office of Community Engagement and UMB Police in this vital volunteer activity on February 26 at 5pm. Volunteers will meet at the CEC and walk with a small group for about an hour led by an outreach worker from the Mayor's Office of Homeless Services. After-School STEM Program Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to support after-school STEM programming at Mother Mary Lange, UMB's newest k-12 neighbor and partner in West Baltimore! Beginning February 21, 2022, volunteers are needed between 3:00 and 4:30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to assist students with research, building and designing assigned STEM projects and assist lead teacher with classroom management and behavior monitoring, classroom setup and cleanup for activities, chaperoning for field trips to the UMB campus monitoring dismissal and parent pickup and organizing supplies.
