Reading tutor – Empower a child with literacy!
Imagine a future where all children have the reading skills to reach their full potential. Join Reading Partners Baltimore, and help make this future a reality in our city! Reading Partners Baltimore is seeking volunteer tutors to help students become lifelong readers. No prior experience is needed to tutor; simply a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and one hour of your time each week. You can become a tutor and work with a student each week for 30 minutes. Volunteers read a story with their assigned student, ask questions to see how well their student understands the story, and plays word games as well as activities. All reading and activities are designed to be appropriate for the student’s reading level.
