Volunteer Opportunity – The Walters Art Museum

The Walters Art Museum relies on the dedication and commitment of volunteers who support the mission of the museum. The museum is looking for dynamic and engaging individuals to join our team of passionate volunteers. Several types of volunteer opportunities are available.

Welcome – You’ll welcome visitors to the museum and serves as a supportive resource throughout their visit.
Explore – In this role you’ll activate a Discovery Station that connects PreK-12 students with art making techniques, cultural themes, and materials.
Host – You’ll spart curiosity and fun in the galleries through different modes of conversation and facilitation.
Evaluate – You’ll encourage visitors to share their feedback and comments.
Represent – You’ll support off-site community engagement events and share what the Walters has to offer with the broader Baltimore community.
Create – You’ll support on-site artmaking programs and events.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, pass a background check, and commit to 6 months of service with a minimum of 4 volunteers hours per month.
