Our goal is to connect students, faculty, and staff at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and employees at the University of Maryland Medical Center with volunteer projects in our area. It’s a place for you to sign up for service activities, and a place to post service activities that need volunteers.

UMB Office of Community Engagement fields numerous requests annually to send faculty, staff and student speakers into partner k-12 partner schools, usually within a mile of campus, to support career exploration events held in those schools. Please consider joining the UMB k-12 speakers bureau. At the Maryland Food Bank, we’re working to ensure there is an adequate supply of food available at pantries and community organizations across the state for the remainder of this public health crisis. But we can’t do it without you! We desperately need help packing “Back Up Boxes” containing 30 pounds of shelf-stable, nutritious foods. The COVID-19 DIY Masks initiative is a way for our communities to assist during these unprecedented times. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued guidance approving the use of cloth masks in certain settings, to employees not providing care and by patients and visitors.
