May 14
An event every month that begins at 12:00am on day 14 of the month, repeating until December 14, 2024
Event Navigation
Duncan Street Miracle Garden is a half-acre food garden, covering the 1800 block of Duncan Street. The garden grows a large variety of fruits and vegetables. The food is donated to the local homeless population, churches, and soup kitchens. We are in need of assistance to maintain the space through the winter season. Volunteer days will include activities such as mowing, pruning, weeding, and picking up trash.
Currently we are looking for individuals with the following skills:
– Someone with the ability/equipment to remove trees and bushes around the garden
– Someone with the skills in repairing door handles, shed floors and building garden beds
We welcome individuals, groups, and people of all ages and abilities.
Right now we are hosting weekly volunteer days on Friday mornings throughout the winter season.
