SUMMARY:Volunteer Opportunity - Speakers Bureau
DESCRIPTION:The UMB Speakers Bureau is a list of professionals\, staff\, and students available to speak with k-12 audience. The Speakers Bureau emphasizes career exposure\, educational pathways\, and real-world professional experiences in neighboring communities. Through these engagements\, students are introduced to career pathways in health care\, law\, and human services. \nSpeakers’ Bureau request typically occurs during the school year\, but occasionally for summer sessions. Topic of discussion includes “A Day in the life” sessions\, personal career journeys\, and decision- making stories\, and career overviews. \nVolunteers are usually present for one to one and a half hours at the school requested. \nIf interested\, please contact Camille Givens-Patterson at: Camille.GPatterson@umaryland.edu. \n
