
Volunteer Opportunity – Neighborhood Beautification – Pigtown

FreeThe Pigtown Food for Thought gardens is getting a new fence at the Ostend Street garden (1172 Carroll Street) and the community need your help.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:30am – ??? volunteers will be needed to help build a new fence and clean up Pigtown. Union Church and National Lumber are donating their time, talent and materials to help rebuild the damaged fence. Please bring tools, if you have them, (wood fence construction) and gloves. There will be coffee and treats, and gloves/tools to share.
There will also be volunteers and neighbors working across the neighborhood to clean up dirty lots and pick up trash. There will be sign-up and food available at The Pig (corner of Washington Blvd and Amity St.) Supplies will also be available at The Pig.
