At MDVLA (Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts), they lawyer differently. MDVLA knows the legal side of the art world can feel confusing. Artists are expected to give a lot. They are part of the economy and culture, but often lack resources and support to properly build a business. MDVLA makes legal support accessible, affordable and solution-focused. With MDVLA, artists have the tools to advocate for themselves, protect their work, and build a thriving creative business. MDVLA also has legal internships for currently enrolled law students.
