Volunteer Interpreters Needed
January 19, 2022 @ January 19 - January 19, 2023 @ January 19, 2023
Thousands of families and unaccompanied children have come to Maryland seeking safety and refuge from violence in their home countries. Many have valid legal claims to stay in the US but require assistance to navigate the complexity of their case. A vital part of that assistance requires access to legal services in a language they can easily understand.
PLEASE VOLUNTEER TODAY!
Who can join? Spanish-speaking students, professionals or others who are fluent in both Spanish and English.
What do volunteers do? Provide interpretation for English-speaking attorneys communicating with their Spanish-speaking clients. Use language skill and cultural knowledge to provide meaningful access to justice for unaccompanied children and immigrant families.
