SUMMARY:Pigtown Festival Volunteer Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:The 20th annual Pigtown festival to be held on October 8th from 12-7pm in the 700 – 1000 block of Washington Blvd will feature live music performed by Baltimore based bands\, delicious food and more than 70 craft vendors. Volunteer needs are as follows: \nVolunteer Role Descriptions: There are various roles + easy 2-hour time slots to choose from. Volunteer packets + directions will be provided. AND…you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind volunteer ONLY t-shirt! Thank you for your support! \nPLEASE NOTE: \n-Vital roles will be marked with (**) \n-There is a chance you may be asked to cover a different role depending on sign-up \n  \nGreeters at Bike Racks: Guardian of the pig pen! \n++Must be 21 years old or older++ \nConfirm no one leaves the festival with alcohol \n  \nBreak Relief: It takes a community! \nProvide breaks to people working double shifts \nTrash clean up as needed \n  \n**Clean-up and Breakdown: BE A HERO!  Bring your much needed energy to staff and all day volunteers to help us put the festival to bed. Clean up includes: \nTaking down tents \nSweeping up trash and disposal \nPutting away equipment and supplies \nAssisting vendors \nBar breakdown \n  \n**Greeter / Zoned Festival Staff (Blue/Yellow/Pink/Black/Kid Zones\, Pig Races and Stage Areas):You’ll be the first smiles festival goers see and help maintain a fun and vibrant environment! \nKeep vehicles out of the festival \nAnswering festival questions + concerns \nAnswer vendor questions \nAdminister surveys \n  \n**Pie Eating Contest & Stage: Such a fun time! \nSet up pies before the contest \nRecruit participants \nPie area clean-up \nCheck in with the Main Stage + Contest Coordinators to run contest as scheduled \n  \n**Set-up- General: Teamwork makes the dream work. Nothing happens without the set-up team! \nSetting up tents \nPlacing trash bags and cans \nHanging signage \nPlacing tables at various stations \n  \n**Set-up – Vendor Check-ins & Signage: Set-up is vital for a fun filled festival.  Happy vendors\, happy festival!  \nAttach signs identifying the vendor check-in area \nUpon arrival\, check vendor name and contact information against vendor list \nConfirm vendors are in the correct zone \nExplain all cars must be cleared by 10:30am \nEnforce the movement of vehicles \n
