SUMMARY:Kids to Farmers Market Series-UMB Campus Visit
DESCRIPTION:Kids to Farmers’ Market (KTFM) is an interactive event that teaches children about healthy foods and healthy eating.  Kids to Farmers’ Market program aims to teach children about nutrition and how to make healthy choices through hands-on learning. \nJoin us and volunteer on Tuesdays in October at UMMC Plaza’s Farmers Market as local elementary children participate in this healthy eating programming. Volunteers will support the students in travelling around the learning stations. \n\nStation 1 for talking about nutritious fruits and vegetables.\nStation 2 is tasting a prepared dish by the chefs from UMMC.\nStation 3 purchasing fruits and vegetables from the farmer’s station in the park.\n\nChildren receive “Farmer’s Bucks” to purchase fresh produce\n\n\n\nRegister now for the various stations and shifts! Open to all UMB students\, staff and faculty! \n
