A Bridge to Academic Excellence (ABAE) is a student organization at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy whose mission is to provide tutoring services for high school students in the Baltimore area.
Student volunteers from the Schools of Pharmacy, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Graduate Studies at University of Maryland, Baltimore serve as ABAE tutors for grades 9-12.
Subjects include Algebra, English/Writing, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, and Calculus. Tutoring takes place on Saturdays on the UMB campus and is free of charge to participants.
