SUMMARY:2022 Point in Time Count of Homeless Persons
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed at the UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) to help conduct the 2022 Point-In-Time Count of people experiencing homelessness.\nJoin the Office of Community Engagement and UMB Police in this vital volunteer activity on February 26 at 5pm.\nVolunteers will meet at the CEC and walk with a small group for about an hour led by an outreach worker from the Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services. During this time\, volunteers will canvass the area and identify individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will be provided a boxed dinner and PPE (mask\, latex gloves\, and hand sanitizer). All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and vaccinated OR show a negative PCR Covid-19 test within 48 hours to participate.
