SUMMARY:Cash Campaign Volunteer Greeter
DESCRIPTION:The Cash Campaign at the UMB Community Engagement Center (CEC) is looking for volunteer greeters. \nThe CASH Campaign of Maryland promotes economic advancement for low-to moderate income individuals and families in Baltimore and across the state.  They will again offer free tax preparation services at the Community Engagement Center\, so working families can avoid costly tax prep fees and maximize their refund. \nThe main responsibilities of volunteer greeters are to welcome families when they arrive\, help them navigate the process and provide general office support. Other duties include ensure that clients have all the necessary documents\, notify staff when a client has completed their paperwork and is ready to be served\, and answer incoming phone calls and respond to voicemails. \nWe offer two shifts each day (9:00am – 1:00pm and 1:00pm – 5:00pm)\, five days a week (Tuesday to Saturday). \nThe Cash Campaign is located at the Community Engagement Center\, 16 S. Poppleton Street\, Baltimore\, MD 21201 \n

This volunteer activity requires an orientation prior to beginning work which covers COVID-19 Health and Safety procedures\, food handling\, and Child and Vulnerable Population procedures. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes when volunteering. \nPlease note that UWCM (United Way of Central Maryland) has required all volunteer agencies to provide PPE equipment as well as practice social distancing measures to ensure volunteers are as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. \n
