Volunteer Opportunity – Baltimore Hunger Project (Feeding Bodies and Minds)
April 20 @ 8:00 am - December 31 @ 5:00 pm
Free-Baltimore Hunger Project, is offering groups to come and volunteer at their location, 9596 Deereco Road, in Timonium, Maryland. Baltimore Hunger Project (BHP) mission is to remove barriers to learning by providing food and resources to children facing food insecurity in our community. Each week, food is ordered and purchased primarily from the Maryland Food Bank and delivered to our warehouse. Teams of volunteers unload the pallets and count the food items, preparing them for packing. BHP relies on the help of corporate and community volunteers to reassemble the food into weekend packages that are delivered directly to Baltimore Hunger Projects partner schools and discreetly placed in children’s back packs on Fridays.
